I composed ... And the Water Was Clear Again for VientoMarero Duo (Michaela Meca, flute and Jiří Meca, guitar) for performance at the Forfest Festival in Kroměříž, Czech Repulic. The piece received its world premiere at the opening concert of the festival on 30 June 2024. This work draws inspiration and its title from Water Remembers - a poem by Azadeh Najmabadi. My intention was to write a defiant piece that embraces the power of water and nature in general. At the same time, the piece conceals the idea of purification and the hope that in the future humanity will be able to pollute its own environment less. ... And the Water Was Clear Again is dedicated with thanks to VientoMarero Duo.
