Recent musical projects include a work for Duo Accosphere, a string quartet for Neo Quartet, a harp duet for the British Duo Novus, a piece for The Vesta Trio, a sonata for German harpist Antje Gräupner's trio, a duet for Ivan Palovič (viola) and Jordana Palovičová (piano), a concerto for viola and strings, commissioned by Sasha Mirković and his Ensemble Metamorphosis, an ensemble work for Kwartludium, a piece for Sax Ecosse, based in Scotland, a piano quintet for pianist Xenia Jarova & Mucha Quartet, an octet for ensemble SO36, and a soundtrack for photographer and film-maker Tomáš Hulík's new film Dark Side of Slovakia.
Peter Machajdík's piano music for choreographer Kristina Borbelyova's new creation for the soloists of the Slovak National Ballet, as part of a celebration of 100 years of the company's existence, was presented in the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava on 1 March 2020. Another new choreography for the dancers of the Hamburg Ballet with Peter's music was supposed to be shown in the Hamburg Opera's Stabile on 20 - 22 March 2020. The event was due to the coronavirus cancelled.
